Community Impacts
To construct EGL1, we need to conduct a range of activities including surveys, building access roads, and out of hours work. On occasion, we will need to put in place traffic management measures, including road closures and traffic light systems, to ensure the safety of all road users and our workforce.
During construction, you may notice:
- Increased construction traffic, including HGVs
- Temporary traffic management such as road closures or traffic lights
- Noise from activities such as piling and drilling
- Visible construction works such as fencing and trenching
We understand this may cause disruption.
We are working to keep impacts as low as possible and will keep communities informed throughout the works.
Working hours
Typical working hours are:
- Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 6pm
Occasionally, works may need to take place outside these hours. Where this happens, we will provide advance notice wherever possible.
